4-Pad Timer
The 4-Pad Timer brings WCA-style four-point timing to your own device, with no Stackmat needed. Hold four contacts — customisable keys on a computer, movable pads on a tablet or phone — start inspection with the spacebar, and the timer only starts once every contact is released.
About this timer
Starting from January 2, 2027, all WCA competitions will adopt the 4-pad mode (learn about WCA 4-pad timing rules). This timer is designed for cubers who don’t own a 4-pad Stackmat but still want to practice for comps (myself included). To start and stop the timer, just press the 4 designated keys or touch all 4 yellow pads on your screen. This is not a perfect substitute for the real thing, but it’ll at least get you used to a timer with multiple points of contact. You can change the keys and positions of pads in the settings.
